Why the upgrade to Hardox® 500 TUF? We are always looking for new technologies and materials to make our structures more durable and high-performing. That is why we have chosen Hardox® 500 TUF: this material represents a new frontier in wear-resistant steel. It is the first 500 HBW wear-resistant plate with structural properties. It combines the characteristics of Hardox® 450 and 500 in a single product, but taken to the next level. It is 30% to 50% harder than Hardox® 450, and up to 85%–100% harder than other steels. It can bear greater loads whilst maintaining the same lightness and workability. It is a POLLUTANT-FREE STEEL. Our high-quality material choices are a benefit to the customer: a longer life of the equipment means a better return on investment!
